that was super dope but can you even call it stop motion at that point? it was like film... super amazing though... even without the lights and stuff it was wild.. i love the play with the depth of field..

good looks on the sharing..

haha i didn't make that

i wish

its 35000 photos he said, so its stop motion

but when you think of it, film is really fast stop motion anyway

the guy would probably be better suited with a highspeed camera with some dope ass lens though

I did several stop motion joints in the past. I'm gonna upload them when I'm back at my PC. Usually I just fixed my cell phone camera somewhere, shot some 100 pics and put them into a gif program. Took a lot of time and resulted in big file sizes. That one youtube video where that guy explains how to do it with the Movie Windows Maker is really cool, I never thought about doing that. It's much easier that way, just drag the images into the timeline and save it as a movie file, et voila. Thanks for that!

I planned to do another stop motion video these days, I have a new laptop with a webcam. So all I have to do is turn that shit on and put something in front of it, hit the mouse button, move it, hit the mouse button...

Why not use a regular video camera and slice it up big time? It's like 1000x faster, all you do is remove frames and you'll achieve the same cool stopmotion effect. Added bonus to that is that suddenly very advanced moving camera stuff is child's play.

I made this one with Photoshop, just layered some photos over another and changed some filter-parameters in each picture

This right here didn't turn out that good as you can see :) I tried to fix the camera above my drawing area but it slipped more and more out of place everytime I hit the button.

Yeah, the tea leaf dancers video is really really cool, that had to be hours and hours of work. You can even see the sun travel :)

I think this guy here took the stop motion thing to a new level:
http://www.blublu.org
There's a video somewhere on that site where he did some awesome moving graffitti stuff, you gotaa watch that!

Concerning my Photoshop-made thingy, the effects all come with the program. For example I lowered the opacity of one layer by 3% in each "frame" or nudged it a bit to one side or played around with the blending modes. You can even easily change the colour tone bit by bit by pressing Ctrl + U and in/decrease it slightly for every image. Or maybe play around with the size of an item to get a zoom in/out-like effect. If you do that for several layers over another you'll get some cool results.
