 Post subject: recording vocals

So me and a friend are doing a joint together, and I have no idea about recording vocals......

Il be hooking the mic up thru a compact 4 mixer...and recorfing into audacity most probably....

anyone have any tips? or advice.....Im gonna hit google like a drunk wifebeater but i figured id ask here....

i heard multitracking in audacity is something not worth getting into

you cant actually monitor what you are dubbing over in the program

i would search for another program

Not entirely true, you can in fact add separate tracks if I recall correctly. (limit volume, see a bar telling you how got the signal is,etc.)

But... I would advice to use the free Reaper for all this instead. Much better for recording in general and almost as easy to use as Audacity.
