Looks like Roland is going to have their own demo to announce some new products on Sept 1st. Mark your calenders because we might be seeing a new sampler or groovebox! http://www.guitargearheads.com/modules/ ... toryid=867

Im hoping for an analog synth. An MV replacement Beat Thang killer and for some reason a new school fender rhodes/hohner clavinet type electric piano. I mill 99% get none of these, but we can all dream.

i was getting a manual (for a camera) printed at a place, and i noticed the guy had a really huge printer (like, for bus shelter-sized prints) that said Roland. same font & everything. i got talking to the guy and he said, "oh yeah, for these kinds of printers, this company is the world leader." i told them they're known for making musical gear and he had no idea.

dude wasn't a fool. totally knew his printer world, but didn't know roland's other side.

all that to say: i think Roland are just rolling out new giant printers.

what they should do is make a more punchier one with pitching and auto chop

i actually love the pitching on the 555 now

it sounds so unique, may not be what your after but if you are in experimental mode you can get wonderful results

i was talking to a guy about it once and he said

"someone needs to invent a sampler that will detect the best parts to sample"
