hey kel! i'm trying to pick a dr-202 too (50€). don't know why but i always loved this dirty machine...i think however that i doesn't have sensitive pads...
..and you know what? it's strange but at the same time i found an sp-202 for only 60€ (but without ac/dc adaptor)...don't know if i have to take it or not.

@ Ellaguru,

so the dr202 doesn't sample but you can tweak sounds to your liking? from the videos i've seen it seems kind of like a sequencing synthesizer w/o the keys?

is that chickens eating weed?

i think you are probably right about that, actually. i once spent a shitload of money and time getting a patchbay and all kind of cords... everything was at my fingertips, all my keyboards and stuff. and eventually i got rid of it cuz i felt like i was sitting in a bowl of spaghetti, it was a mess. now it's just my 2 samplers, turntable and trusty lil korg 05/rw.

i like the way you tweak and mute any single drum component. maybe the bass is not that bad too. i think the sequencer is ok too.
