Ok, so my computer's desktop has a folder dedicated to sp-404 stuff. each time i fill up my sample banks or come to a good stopping point i export all my samples to a new little folder within my 404 folder. it looks like:

c_01
c_02
c_03..... etc

1. now let's say i want to make a couple adjustments by way of resample to a couple of samples. do i just export again, and have to remember what pad it was on?

2. if i want to compile a bunch of random samples already on my computer in a 404 folder, to import into the 404, does the first sample's name have to be c_01?

3. do i have to take notes of which pads had which sounds if for example i'm building a kit with only drum sounds, that i can keep coming back to when i want only certain types of sounds....

yikes these questions are kind of fuzzy, but so am i when it comes to file management on the 404. using the search function here is alright but it's just confusing me more.

I'm not too sure about this because ironically, I barely use a computer for making beats, but I think it doesn't matter what the name of the sample is. Samples get imported to the 404 alphabetically. I think that answers question 2

I don't think you have to remember which pads had what sounds either, man.

in my experiance with importing, it needs to have the "c_01" filename but it disregards what letters you've put and just starts importing from c bank anyway

ex. i put on the card samples named g_01, g_02 etc i put in the card and import and those samples go to c1 c2 etc....
