nah i would never pay for samples unless it was vinyl

I don't usually pay for samples either.. but some of the goldbaby ones are AWESOME -

my favorite is the vinyl drum machines pack... He got loads of samples from drum machines, had them pressed to records, then sampled the records... it's really great if you are trying to land somewhere between dirty vinyl sampled sound and dance/electronic... you get the nice sound, but all the clear individual unprocessed hits.

stay away from the tape 909 pack though, it has a very annoying noise on some of the samples..

I wouldn't normally mind, except goldbaby has been really helpful to me in email correspondence and stuff, I wouldn't want to screw him over.. seems like a genuinely nice guy!

If you go to the goldbaby website, there are a whole bunch of free samples up there, I think tape and vinyl ones.. some great material even in teh free stuff!
