Feedback:

Dj_just_jeff: the idea is good, but as a song, it needs intros, outros, break, and probably a bit more than just drums and the synth sample. The timing is a bit off, is it played entirely by hand? if not, quantize your recordings, or practice ;)

|||||: Dubby, I like this beat the best, and also in my opinion makes the best integration of sampled vocals into his song.

dman5000: dark, dirty and well built song, funny ending.

ellaguru: funky, up tempo, tight, and also a song with intro, theme, breaks.

so, my vote goes to: |||||

I will not vote on myself, neither give myself feedback ;)

my vote goes to IIIII, but if for chance you win, could you record this better for the past masters?

It was real close between Ellaguru and IIIII for me. But the I's have it, surprise surprise. I like my beats dirty and druggy.

I had to vote DJ_Just_Jeff. Simple idea. To the point. A two bar intro could have really made this one complete and solid. Slight timing idiosyncrasies add an organic feel to the timing for me.

Here is where i come from on this. I just saw a dr. pepper commercial where dr. dre premiered a single from his upcoming album detox. I went on youtube to find the track and here it is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RH2I0eUX ... re=related

The beat on this is only for bars. There is a two bar intro and that's it. The rest is taken care of by contribution from a competent MC. It's simple and has soul. Right now this is what I'm digg'n on.

Big Props Just_Jeff

PS: I never listened to the original sample set for this one.

Okey, I've changed the poll so it will end in one day, but seems with a 7 to 1 lead IIIII is going to win this time.
