I'm glad about that though. Possibly indicating that music production is becoming even more mainstream, that's usually a good thing for prices of hardware. :)

That also may mean it'll occasionally be on sale!

Best Buy is headquartered where I live and I ran into one of the corporate people last year who was leading the project of setting up the music gear department for in store sales. From the conversation I had it seams they are targeting the entry level market. They are just starting to phase this stuff into in store availability. Hopefully it will open up the music gear industry to a larger market and push the manufactures to larger volumes which will reduce per unit cost.

san antonio has 3? best buys and only one of them has the REAL DEAL stuff in it.. a few of the other stores have a few keyboards and odds and ends... the other one has like 10 or 12 turntables (cd and vinyl) set up to try out, mixers, korg and other keyboards they have the emx (blue box by korg) and digi drums, they have a sound booth with a full range of guitars too.. iinto the 1000s of dollars too not just cheap stuff.. the crazy thing is out of all the stores here they put in music stuff in the one across the street from guitar center and behind sam ash.. they are all in walking distance of each other pretty much.. stupid i think..
