yea i ran into this a while ago, it looks cool.

i guess it might revolutionize the sound of vocal recording.

well pro tools and a good mic already did, but now everyone will sound good.

well i think mostly its the name your paying for. but it probably have a decent sound engine like pro tools. it has decent master fx and master compressor. so its just like pro tools , but you dont need an MBOX .

anyway i want to try it out cause cool edit is pretty harsh. unless you have a tube , or some sort of pre processor.

I'm sure propellerheads will shock us with something brilliant... just look rebirth-reason-recycle...
There's a local guy that become a beta tester... I'll report when he shares his opinion.

Kind of, but more limited to audio rather than lots of midi functionality etc..
After all. .they wouldn't want it to impact on their sales of reason ;)

from what i understand you need to be connected to either the internet or have the dongle in order to open a saved project. you can work on a project all you want and even save it but you will not be able to open that project without dongle or internet verification.

i think it looks kind of cool. i personally wouldn't be that interested in it but there is definitely a market there for it. for bedroom musicians (non electronic musicians) it could be very popular. it could also be bundled with some line 6 products as well judging by the fact that record has some line6 modeled fx.

like i said i am not overly excited about this because i am more interested to see what propellerheads does with reason 5, but remember they brought us recycle, rebirth and reason so they are a very accomplished company.

At the moment beta tests of Version RC3 are going on...among all plugns that are present in Reason4 there are also Line6 plugins for guitars that sound way much better than Amplitube and Guitar rig.
Mixer is SSL wanabee...classic channel strip with dynamics...
