Hey, long time lurker, first time poster. Sorry if this has been posted before, I searched for it but couldn't see anything.

Is it possible to copy the disk image of your CF card (the same way you would copy a CD disk image or a hard drive), delete the contents of the card and remount the disk image, leaving all your sample locations/chops intact?

I've tried doing a regular copy+paste to do this, and obviously because copy+paste doesn't copy everything properly, it didn't work and I had to reformat my card.

Any ideas guys? Thanks

Actually it should have worked the way you did it...just copy the "Roland" folder from the card onto your computer and later the folder back to your card...

make sure that you replace all existing files or maybe even better: delete the Roland-folder on your card and replace it afterwards with your backup folder from your hard disk.

Backing up on the computer works for me. I have these folders like ROLAND_AUGUST09 and then I copy them back to card and rename just to ROLAND.
