hi guys

haven't posted up any rap beats for awhile, been focused instead on writing electronic tunes for live performance. but i recently got back into the boom-bap side of things, trying for a rag-time jangly piano sort of vibe. here's what i came up with:

http://soundcloud.com/drewzle/drewzle-w ... street-rag

drum hits chopped from Herbie Hancock (with a 909 kick layered under the bassdrum for punch), the bass tone is made from a sinewave.

:P

good bass & drums!

...maybe the beginning it's a little too long? :) ...depending on what you want to add too, also..

positive tune.

no, not at all man! i value people's direct, honest statements

i just mean that, i'll probably leave it 'as is' because i like it that way...but the fact that a few people said the intro was too long, is something i'll definitely take into consideration in the future :D

yeah the sampletrak is dope. The sp404 is a beautiful machine, but the ST has it beat in a few areas.
