7th pad

Post by AsACrowFlies »

Everytime I hit the 7th pad, no matter which bank I'm in, it always reverts back to bank B and plays the sound from the 7th pad there. I cannot program any other sound into that pad without this event recurring. I've tried resetting the internal memory as well as reformatting my flashcard, but nothings worked. Is there a way to fix this?

Yeah I just reinstalled the OS and it still doesn't work...

I was really hoping I wouldn't have to send it back, but it seems I have no choice.

Have to agree it sounds like it could be damage by some kind of liquid. Beer, coffee, cola. It can often take a while for this kind of damage to become apparent.
You wouldn't think buttons that far apart could end up being connected, but they do have common wires and they all come together at the connector between the circuit boards.
The 404 isn't too difficult to strip down and give the switch board a good scrub with medical alcohol or a similar mild solvent using a stiff paint brush.
