only the sample can be used none of your own samples or drums. and you cant mix individual tracks outside the 404. but you can run your entire beat thru whatever equiptment you want.
I'm not sure when the battle will end. anyone else have a suggestion on when to end the battle
although it does seem like an unfair advantage that the 606 has the velocity pads. i'd like to say just 303/404 but then again it's good to have as many people as possible throw down. we could say external controllers are legit for the machines w/out velo pads to even things a bit but then we move a bit off the "solo machine only" aesthetic. then again, these battles are completely informal ways to build skill, so i dunno...

I'm dont know the advantages the 606 has over the 404. but i dont think velocity sensitive pads is really that much of an advantage. you could very easily just resample and adjust volume in a 404.
i say anything left in the machine after you initialize the memory is ok to use. thoughts?
