Would it be wise...

Post by eyecam »

... to sell my 505 for a 606?

I've become well acquainted with my 505 but I'm a bit jealous of some 606 features (synth, usb etc).

Your thoughts please...
Yes, 12bit.

i sold my sp-606 for an sp-505.
things i miss solding it: .wav files export, usb, sensitive pads, roll, 2fx at once. the d-beam is not important for me.
finally the .wav thing has became not important too nor usb stuff; roll stuff you can do it with sp-505 (wave edit>gate>loop etc); 2fx at once: well, when i played the sp-606 using 2fx at once while playing patterns and d-beam, the machine got different bugs.
things i "add" having bought the 505: pitch scale function, better and complete chop way, deleting few samples at once and a more stable machine.
saying this, it dipends on how you like working with those machines.
cheers

would you say it is an easier transition from the 505 to a 606, than a 505 to a 303??

hi
it's for me or eycam :) ?
the 303 is very easy to use. the 505 too (a little less). what i found a little hard in the 606 was some hidden menus , but i think it's only a question of abitude.
