SP-700??

I cant believe its not listed here. after hours/days scouring the net, all I've come up with is the PDF manual, and some reference to a eeprom update to 1.12 for the OS, I found a compatability table refernecing this so that the sp-700 can use zip 100 and other such drives. My sp-700 has no external scsi drive, so In essence i have no way to transfer samples to the unit. I read in the compatability guide that the MS-1's current OS is 1.12 and I was hoping to get that one and flash my system... a shot in the dark... all i have found is the 1.13 update from the roland site, but I need the 1.12 version. anyway I was hoping to find some other sp-700 users here that might be able to help. although the 700 is not a sampler it is a sample player.

Lots of the cats over there still own and use SP-700s.

Also... when it comes to the SP-700 missing here, to prevent over-specification of the forum into too much different sections, all of the Roland rack samplers can of course be discussed in here.

thanks for the link, but.......
been there ...lol trust me when I tell you that I have scoured the net for hours/days for anything on the sp-700..... results are very very limited and narrowed down to maybe a handful of reference material.
I even went to the FTP archives to see if I could do a search.. nothing. my best bet now is to connect with other sp-700 users and learn from them how they got their stuff setup.
