I think there's something posted here somewhere about this album by Madlib's brother, Oh No.

So, check the albúm "Dr. Oh No's Experiment" (or Oxperiment (?? ).
rapishare and 4megaupload.com has it.

It's a FUCKING SP-404 LESSON.

(I think all tracks where made on a 404, not sure though, ou can hear the lazy-ass quantize on drums, and the guy makes the sp metronome to sound dope on a beat.)

please dont' sleep on this record.

although it's posted here already. I guess an albúm this good and interesting for SP-404 users never hurts to remember.

enjoy

True, but the Oxperiment was made with a 404 hence the name.

I don't get it.
How exactly do you know he used a 404?

I dont really care what equipment he uses. But, in some interview he said he uses MPC and sometimes reason. Never heard that he uses SP...but anyways, Dr. No's Oxperiment is very cool. I havent heard this new record "Dr. Oh No's Experiment".

I read it somewhere when the album was released but I could be mistaken. He did use the 404 metronome click in one of the beats on that album which could be a clue.

above all that it's a 'fuck the rules' albúm.

beautifuly sloppy.

and with a sound 'pallete' that ranges from old / new - digital / analogic - known / unknown....

Egon is really cool.
I don't know why, but that just hit me when I saw him in Zurich. He's pretty cool.
