how to slect a specific bank from C to J

Post by gambrelli »

hi,

I only ask this question because i haven't found the (simple?) answer in the manual. Reading this forum was as always very interesting but i also didn't find it here.
How do you select bank (example) D? When I press C/G, how can i choose the specific bank inside this C/G-collection? Pressing a button 2 times gives a flashlight but that doesn't give me any clarity...

sorry if the answer is actually written somewhere in the forum, but this is something i just can't find.

I hope i can help you. not sure i understood the question..

first you got to have a compact flash card. up to 1Gb. The Sp-404 cannot take more than that.

the card is what makes the banks C to J function. the banks A and B are the internal memory. you can use them always, having a compact flash or not.

do you have a flash card?

this is all in the manual's first pages. give it a check. It's better explained there.

then there's the Pattern Mode and Sample Mode.

if you press 'PATTERN SELECT' you can record sequences of samples. that's pattern mode.

If 'PATTERN MODE' isn't lit then you're on Sample Mode where you can record samples to the pads.

It's all in the first pages of the manual also.

good luck, bro ; )

He just wants to know how to select G instead of C, i think.

And yeah , you just press it twice.

You should notice that if you press it once you get a different set of samples to if you press it again.. meaning its a different bank obviously.
Samples.

yes, i do know about "the rest": it's the specific bank-option that I was confused about. To be honest, i haven't loaded samples to the banks while experimenting on which bank it eventually landed.
I know what to do now!
@Both of you guys: thank you for the answer and advice. :D Nice forum!!
