what i was trying to do was make a loop out of 4 pads playing at once, should be no problem right..? well for some reason im always off by what sounds like only a few miliseconds... has anyone else had these issues or do i maybe just need more practice?

i run into the same problem. when i loop capture a few pads looping to make a new loop the new loop doesnt play in time with the pads that created it, even if i press them at the same time..

unfortunately i havent found a solution other than just getting really good at timing the loop. what has helped significantly is using a footswitch/sustain pedal to trigger the recording, but even that doesnt ensure clean loops. i find that i have to press the pedal a few miliseconds before pressing the pads, which is extremely time consuming to get right.

i think the 555 is very limited in this area.. ive since given up and use ableton to make my loops work with eachother before loading them into the 555 so i dont have to worry about getting pissed that nothing is coming together how i want it..

unless i have also overlooked something....

you should be ok as long if you do a couple of things

1. dont use auto start!

2. try playing to a bpm and use the measure feature on the looper

3. if you have marked samples to the bpm record them into a loop so they dont drift

4. and dont "hit" the pads when you start loops, press them

youll find it works much better to press them.

if you do these things there shouldnt be a delay or drift

also...

if you are triggering loops use gate mode off, and loop mode on

less work

i have one that i got with my keyboard a long time ago

and it does make a difference, but if you can use your pinky to hit record and that works quite nice too

i usually end using my pinky most the time
