its just wont stop skippin
what should i do i tried gate but it always comes bak
i delete what i dont need
to i need a bigger memory card,
do i need to compress everythinggg???
iono lofi?
but i dont want th nintendo sound
no i really have to make mini chops?
or is my sp fucked up?
i dunno what to do

Sounds like you data got corrupted, is it crackling and making terrible high pitched noises through out your samples?

you may have also sampled at a bit rate the 404 can't play back.

In this order:

make sure you have the most current os
format the memory card
get a new mem card

*last resort*
send in the 404

hi
try really to see if your card is ok. if you have an mpc 1000 or 500 try with it. i had a similar problem just one week ago. the cf card phucked up the system, and even when i formatted it reapeatly, after one or two trys it became ill again. now that card (1giga card) i use it no more with the sp-404 , but my mpc 1000 accepted it. the "funny" thing is that now i play with sp-404 with an original akai 128mb cf card...

yea i finally got around to restoring it
ive been lazy and had a crap load of samples on it
but yea i need to find me some cf cards asap
