Hi, welcome to the forums.
I don't know if I understand you correctly, but I believe you want to scratch to a loop you just made and record it to your sampler at the same time?
That isn't possible with one sampler.
What I do is get an external metronome and set it to the BPM of that loop, then I scratch to that.
Hope that helps

to me this is the most frustrating limitation of the sp 404.. im thinking about adding another sampler to go around this
i guess you could also keep a recorder of some sort to record your new loops on, then bounce them back into the sampler

Just bounce your drum track from the SP into a recording software and back to a pad then layer the rest of your samples and scratching live over top using the resample function. Simple, but that's just "scratching" the surface of what is possible. Just remember to always sample off a blunt of O.G. Kush x Granddaddy Purple and a bottle of Le Fin Du Monde like we do in the town and wear ya' safety googles kids, it's 'bout ta get real ugly in the lab for '09.

Just because I no longer have the time to make music myself doesn't mean I can't help someone out. I have to take care of my mother because she has cancer and don't have the inspiration to do it right now. I still listen to music

I've always been close to my family, it's just hard to hold everything down myself now. I hope everything goes well during her operation, I'll be in the same boat in a couple weeks.
