Where are the rules anyway?

Are these still current?

Ok, now that the voting is over here's what I have for rules. If anyone has any serious problems with these just leave a comment. You could PM me but if we're gonna make changes I'd prefer for everyone to be able to follow the logic. Anyway here we go...

1. All SPs only SPs. all chops, all sequencing. External mastering (E.Q., compression) is ok but don't rearrange anything. The exception to this is if any of the SPs have a useable time stretch feature that is disallowed to be fair to the ones that don't have it.

2. Winner of previous battle either picks / posts sample/s or designates someone else to. They may either post one sample / song as source material or a sample plus a breakbeat.

3. Only use elements posted for the battle. No extra drums from your library, etc. Anything left in your machine after you initialize the memory is fine.

4. Contest runs for one week. Voting runs for three days. Vote for somebody else, and explain your logic.

Well that's it. These rules take effect for battle number six and on. Now get to work!

i voted yes fot # 50 but after that i think we should keep it like it was because it gets you deep in your sp instead of going away from it i dunno i havent entered latley but i will on #50 i just had a burn out for a minute.

Aight, sounds good... Pretty excited bout the one-time change. Dear how long did I had to fight for my right to pitch... Geee... Hopefully IG9 agrees on this anomalie?!

Think Kel could start picking a sample...
Should we write some pm invitations for the battle?! Seriously... wouldn't it be great to get back some of the older participants?!

(Pitch-) Party on!

I prefer battle with the arena classic rules, i think that a back to basis stuff sounds cool for the 50 battle, anyway if you want change the rules for this special battle for me is ok... The only thing i don't like is multitracking beats.

i think multi tracking is a great idea because it gives you a chance to practice your rythm without using the sequencer, or if you have a 303 it gives you equal ability of a 555 as far as the amount of samples used

but maybe only two tracks... one take of drums, one take of melodies, and other stuff

it would give the tracks more life imo
