Post by hurlingdervish »

just started doing this and i have to say its pretty sweet sounding :D
i
this guy is a tool for having that goatee like that though

dont feel like recording all my stuff on to tape, so im just bouncing drum and synth samples for tape saturation and it works beautifully

That beat is like something from a mid 90s "don't do drugs stay in school high self esteem" educational video.

yea i had to boost the signal through a mixer

it was insanely distorted the first time

then i got better results

http://www.box.net/shared/10znyrub12

this affected the signal DRASTICALLY. im hooked. those start/stop sounds are great percussion too

all the click-y sounds in this song are from tape glitches

:D I have a VCR sitting on my desk, always plugged into my audio interface as a send/return..

For really messed up sound, use the video part of the vcr input/output instead of the audio parts.
Heaven forbid, I go my own way and..
Heaven forbid, I dont be a slave, man..
Cos I know that it's hard to accept,
I'm an outcast.

i used to always record my drums to tape but i stopped doing it now because it is too time consuming and mess up my workflow. if i've made anything worthwhile i go back and record the drums though.
