I think it will be interesting to see what ACTUALLY happens. . htere is an element of the unknown there.. the last time earth and the solar system crossed the galactic equator was 26000 years ago.

Personally I hope there are aliens, and world catastrophes n shit.. Life is a little plain these days.

If I were to put on my skeptic hat though, I'd have to say it seems incredibly likely that absolutely NOTHING will happen as we pass through the galactic equator.

The whole thing gives me the heebiejeebies though..
