ok.
if you follow dubstep scene, specially the most dark part, there are most similitudes with this and some tracks by Scorn, a band founded by mick harris, ex Napalm Death drummer (the grindcore founder band!), wich is still active but it was very important in the middle of '90 mixing dub, industrial and, naturally, a little grindcore. m harris also collaborate with j zorn and b laswell for some experimental/jazz/core projects. and also with Justin Broadrick (Godflesh -industrial/metal band-, today Jesu - new shoegaze rock-, not bad), co-founder of napalm death.
albums by scorn to listen (if you want :) ):
"colossus","evanescence","gyral".
if we talk about Scorn we have to mention also P.I.L. (public image limited), a band founded by j lidon (sex pistols), wich made rude and obscure dub/punk at the end of '70 and had a great influence to Scorn.

peace

glad to see you know them. "evanescence" is a good album.
maybe the term "dubstep" is reducting for Trenchant trax, but it was also to find some parallel. and scorn is not really dubstep, but as i said, we can consider it as a non recognized father of this sub-genre.

Yeah, i know Scorn. And i "hate" trem dubstep..because its so trendy...but i dont really care, im just joking with that stuff. And yes...we can consider that scorn gave seeds to "dubstep". Glad to see that theres another soul like you ellaguru, that knows many styles of music! And yeah...ella guruuu...captain beefheart. :D
