Splitting a sample over numerous pads

I was wondering how to split up a sample over several different pads...

You can use the resample function. Resample a sample numerous times, then you can use the mark button to change it to your liking.

he hit it right on the head, do that, resample and mark is all you need, make sure you give yourself room at the beginnings and ends to add sound if you end up having to later on, and always keep the effect the same while resampling a pad with an effect on it multiple times for marking so to keep sound the same in the end, i usually will resample a bunch of times with the eq on, as well as other effects too, but i just always catch myself almost fuckin that up

i have a little tip for chopping faster if peeps aren't doing this already. it can be a real pain resampling and having to listen to that long sample over and over. when i have a long sample, i catch every other beat in real time. like:

i get the beginning part and throw it on pad 1 (1st chop)
then i let the second part play as i'm preparing to record the third chop to pad 3.
so just by playing the sample back once i already have chops 1,3,5.....on their respective pads.
then i just play it again and grab the even numbered parts. walla! the whole thing chopped in no time
