My approach to putting scratching over a track is to play or loop the beat on track one of a multi track recorder and record the turntable cuts in the second track. I will choose 4-6 samples for the audition and perform them for three to five minutes. Then i will play it back and select the parts I like best. I cut them to the beat grid and sequence them throughout the beat. If you are interested in an auditioned track of scratch sounds to go with a beat or two then I'll help. I would just like to hear what you select out of it if you use it.
