Morricone+COMPUTERS+hurlingdervish

Post by ellaguru »

this is a tribute to the great italian maestro Ennio Morricone, known above all for his western film music, but he make also great o.s.t. for other type of films.
this is also a little shout to COMPUTERS wich made a very good e.p. recorded on cassettes, so i take some sounds from cassettes from an indie rock project i have from 1999 (ok, i'm not young!), and i made all the loops with them.
another shout goes to hurlingdervish
and his recent obsession with sidechain fx that make me mad. i used the joe meek compressor for him.

tempo......................................................90bpm
duration...................................................2.59
gear........................................................sp-505, joe meek 3q,tascam dp 01 fx.
comments.................................................morricone state of mind

Just joking. I'm downloading it now. I feel touched to have my name next to Ennio Morricone...I love his film music. Thanks, man, hope we can do a project in the future.

strategy, strategy...
no, sincerely, yesterday when i made this track i searched all my old cassettes in an old shoes box...all made in 1998-2002 indie/rock/triphop/jungle/noise/post rock period...there are many lost treasures to discover i hope. it's the fault of your e.p.! :)

but what a noise makes my yamaha mt120...how to do to have less noise with analog recorders?anybody knows some tips?
