If I save a beat from My 606 onto the pc...When I go back to load it and I have my pc on Do I jus load the beat from the Sp without doing anything on the Pc? or would I have to transfer the beat to the Sp 606 from the pc? how would I go upon doing that?

EDIT: Also when U save a beat on the sp does it save all the sounds used in that beat or do you have to go back and load all the sounds back up? Same goes for if you save it on the pc would it save all the sounds or do you have to load em all back up seperatly?

ANYONE!?

Yes when you make a beat using the sp 606 it does save all of the sounds that u use when you record it, that is if you are using the machine only...Im not really sure about the software because i barely use it....

As far as the question about the pc.....Im not sure im following you....
I know for a fact that you can export wav. files from the sp directly to the computer.....Every track, every sound, every sample is stored as a wav. file....You need to record your track into your sound card or you can download Audacity and record it through there.....Its a free recording software that you can use to record on the line in (your microphone jack on the pc).....Im not sure if this is the info your looking for, but I hope that it helps.........If not, check 606man's thread on recording to Audicity.....Lots of helpful information on there.......

Best of Luck!
Tweek

What IU was trying to say was if I save the beat (NOT A SONG EXPORTED) I made on the sp to the Pc instead of on the card would I have to click anything on the pc for it to load on the sp? I wasent saying I make a beat then put the ..Mp3 or. Wav file back on the sp I wanna know if I can save a beat onto the computer from the sp then load a beat that I was working on off the pc onto the Sp without clicking anything on my pc?

Ah ok, if it's a pattern you have made, it'l always be there when you turn on the 606. Something that I really think is impressive about the 606 is the fact that you can make a pattern and you don't even have to save it - it's just THERE (unless you actually delete it of course).

Nevertheless, it's tricky to get that pattern from the SP to the computer; I just record the output of the SP into the computer and chop it on the comp.

From there I 'import' the new loop back onto the SP as a sample..

When you save a beat in song mode you are setting up the patterns to play 'by themselves' when you hit play.

I actually don't use 'song mode' as I prefer to record 'live'..

That's the really cool thing; the 606 just remembers what you were doing without you needing to 'save' anything. Just remember which pattern/s you were working on and they'll be there when you switch the unit back on!

In song mode, I think you have to save your piece though..

song mode saves automatically just like the patterns. IN song mode, you put the patterns in order that you want them to play and thats it....Its actually pretty simple......If you make changes to the pattern, the changes will be applied to that pattern in the song also.....Im not sure on mastering though....I think you can use the mastering function to apply to the whole song in song mode......

Best of Luck
