Next equipment purchase?

I was. . i decided to sell it though - it was great and all, but i had kind of lost sight of my tiny portable battery powered rig when I bought it. .

back on track with my quest for a tiny setup now though .. the problem is in terms of midi sequencing the only viable option seems to be the MPC500...
the QY77 / QY100 would probably work, but they apparently have hopeless battery life.

The only other option I have is to find a polyphonic hardware synth that has it's own sequencer, and can run off DC Power (so i can build a battery pack for it)...
so far this search has come up with nothing - I want something multitimbral so I can have more than 1 synth patch running from it at a time... failing that I will just buy 3 or 4 DSI evolvers I think hahaha... the idea amuses me but it would cost a load

My friend makes some good music off a Qy100 and like it a lot, the 500 appeals to me in a way because they why you edit is samples is the closest to an sp of all the mpcs and it has a more thorough sequencer, but I've heard they are pretty short on build quality which is a big priority to me considering I would take it everywhere and beat the shit out of the pads on the daily.

I think I'm just gonna hang out for a while and see what happens in the next few months... the evolver and my 404 will keep me happy for now i think, since they can both sequence themselves... and you can trick the evolver into playing 2 oscillators on one sequence and 2 on anothher, giving you 2 synth parts instead of one.. alhough somewhat limited.

Well, the ones that sounded good to me sound even better now. BUT; more importantly, the ones that I knew were 'NQR' (not quite right) now sound shizen hausen - and I can clearly hear where I went wrong. Love it.

Heck yeah. I am planning on buying either a Moogerfooger low pass filter or a MuRF at some point here... Just have to figure out which one then get my finances in line.

Be prepared for a lot of down time when it crashes.....

My missus still loves hers though; so crashing is not the end of the world.

im prepared to work around any issues, but if its not stable in a few months ill probably sell.
