... hmm ... well... thanx guys... Need an interface too. Was lookin for the m-audio fast track pro and the emu 0404 usb.

Never heard of the presonus audiobox... It's a bit cheaper than the two above so this might be the right choice?!

Alright bought an interface today but NOT the presonus audiobox.
A few of my buddys told me that this is mainly for real instruments/mics... The shop dude told me the same.

Got the emu 0404 usb now... Better drivers than audiobox, too.
But you guys was right that preseonus audiobox is pretty dope when it comes to the quality of the interface itself. Heavy box.

Spent the whole afternoon in this shop. It felt like I was in a toys'r'us or sth. I got the chance to try out nearly every groovebox and midicontroller that's on the market. ...there was a little machine called 555 which looks way better in real than those advertising pics. Man them pads are so nice... And you guys say I could send midi-data's with the 555, so I could use it as a real midi controller, too???
How many FX-settings can be saved on that machine?

Touched the 5k also.... What a piece of crap. Geee.... Purest plastic.

But I figured out that those new MPD's arent that bad. Maybe too expensive but well built. ...and yeah the PadKontrol beats the TriggerFinger... Think I'm gonna go there next week to play a bit further with the 555. Maybe they give me one for free when I'm gonna look this      .

Pretty sad that they raised the price from 489,- to 599,- - 649,-€.

any of you guys with the presonus stuff using os x? i just got a firebox and in my DAW (Tracktion 2) I can only get 2 inputs to show up. am i missing something? also i was reading the manual and it said that the two inputs on the front aren't supposed to be used with line level devices, bu i get the impression that more than a few cats here are using the audio box with line level devices and it appears to only have the 2 inputs that are on the front of the firebox...so it's safe to assume that they are in reality cool to use with line level stuff? this is my first audio interface so i'm a bit green with all this ish...

.
The 2 inputs on the back are for line... y'know.. the ones that say "Line in 3/ 4"
use them.

And it must be somethin up with tracktion,

I run on OSX and it works fine in Live, Logic Pro, Traktor, Max.

For that kind of money, better look into a mic-preamp / FX combo instead, those usually will work as regular audio interface also and you then got 3 things for the same money. :)

word, i was just wondering about the two on the front labeled mic/instrument because those are the only inputs on the audiobox which a few people here have said they have and i assume they are using it line level devices through those two(and only)inputs, although, i could be way off and maybe the audiobox has line level inputs on the back too. i'll give it a try in logic or live tonight and see if i can get all 4 inputs to show up...
