well i love what i think is called ambient sounds. i've heard people make them in reason but i have no clue how you do it.
if you're not shure what i mean go on youtube and search for "sp404 ambient noises" or "sp404 electronica"

i have a microkorg and i would love to know how you could program those sounds, in reason or on microkorg + sp-404
i guess sample a sound, chop it small or take a note, throw an effect on it & fcuk with them knobs, resample, then resample with a different effect, fcuk with the knobs again...throw it in the sequencer if you want & get pattern goin or just do it in real time... i dunno but this is how do it... just gotta fcuks with it... hope this helps

filter with some resonance, add delay reverb and chorus. Flanger can be usefull also.
