CUBASE 5 and the SP-555.

Post by IRONWOLF »

Hey guys, new to the forum!

I recently got cubase 5 and, whilst having a decent knowledge of the mixing element of it from an older version, I have very little idea of how to set up the SP-555 as a MIDI/VST instrument. I followed instructions in the manual/psd tutorials, but just got mega confused when it came to setting it all up (it dosen't help that the mpc isn't in the list of MIDI devices already there). I just wondered if anyone had some experience with this, or any advice for setting individual/identical channels, and how you actually get the thing to actually bloody work!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated yo. sweet.

i dont quite understand what you mean by setting it up as a midi/vst instrument (i know what they are, but a sampler isnt virtual studio technology...its real studio technology)

but if your trying to send midi messages TO the 555 your pretty much shit out of luck. it really isn't made for that , the midi notes it receives are pretty random.

if you are trying to use it as a midi controller on the other hand, connect it via usb cable, install the drivers, and select it in your midi preferences.
