Yes it's free, free as in beer. Has a little nag screen that's all.

It's free enough, that means you should purchase it (eventually?), but they do not force you by limiting the software or how long you can use it or something.

Guess they know it's pointless to implement all kinds of protection anyways.

Bumping an old topic here, but I paid for non-commerical license of this after using it for a week or so. Great bit of software. Plug-ins are fantastic.

Have yet to use it for recording in though as searching for a nicely priced 2nd hand 303 or 404 to add to my set-up, but coming in from the Apogee Duet it should be sounding sweet.

Shortcircuit gets a hell of a wrap from people I know who've used it. Shame it's not available on Mac. I may be dual booting via Bootcampl shortly anyway, so when I do I'll be sure to grab it.

I rock parallels to run Win XP on my macbook but it was kinda a bitch to setup and the company only offers $25 an hour phone support which is gay, so I said fuck it and lost an afternoon but got it running nicely. I had to make an ISO and boot XP from that even though I have a legit XP copy from my dell, they should update their install info.

I replaced cubase with reaper as well... Thanx peepz. That shit is really nice. Low cpu usage, easy to navigate, vsti and midi stuff... AND EASY TO LEARN! Def my fav. sequencer! 8)
I don't have the 60 bucks right now... so I used this:
