Hey guys, just joined the group! was droolin' over the sp 404 so I picked one up via craigslist. (Duhn duhn duhn)
dude sold to me for 200 bucks. Was in immaculate condition, he said he used a lot for a year, but seemed to work fine.
Got it home and it seems buggy to me. Sensitive to movement (crackles in playback), volumes jump in sample playback too. the effects don't always work, and can't seem to rec long samples on the re-formatted card.
I'm wonderin' should I pawn off and re-buy?
Just bought used 404, Seems fishy...

this is pretty much the same problem as the last guys post, you should read that thread.
but i think it may be the card you are using, some work 100 percent others can be glitchy if it isn't compatible
as for the effects that sounds like it may be the machine itself..
even if you do have to send it in though, itd still be cheaper than buying it new
