You can't multi-track in Audacity so you won't be able to hear the beat while your rapping. You can download Reaper though, it's free.

Audacity is a multi-tack software, just fuck with the I/O settings in your tracks and route the audio signal where you need it.

Word? damn didn't even know that. Makes sense. I just remember trying to record some cuts over a beat and I wasn't able to hear the beat while recording onto another track.
