it's part of a documentary called brasilintime and the whole this can be found if you go on google video. It's very informative and interesting and of course has to deal with Brazilian music like Azymuth, Jorge Ben, etc. It gives you good digging ideas.

the MPC is probably J.Rocc's. This should be the spot Madlib created Madvillain tracks like Strange Ways. The first time I see Madlib working on a beat.

don't know exactly that, but i remeber from an interview that madlib maybe used some mpc.

Madlib definitely uses an MPC, SP-606, SP-303, CR-78, TR-808, SP-1200 etc and probably a lot more he hasn't mentioned.

True but so many people thought he made most of his new tracks with only a 303 that now there actually are people killing it with just a 303 or 404 and some crates.

i think i used the sp-303 beast mainly in the quasimoto works

for the further adventures, unseen was all sp1200, madvillainy was pretty heavy 303 i think, i wouldn't doubt that he still uses it alot to make rough beats and loop up simple loops like in this vid, but i've felt like he uses something else for his drums, at least sometimes when he's gettin busy on the cuts
