606: copying samples
As you all know the chopping on the 606 is usless. How do I copy the samples so I can tuncate to chop it better? Like chopping on the asr-10

I don't know why people say the chopper is useless - I've only ever found a couple of loops that have stumped it..
The best way to get the chopper to behave the way you want it to is to put the loop through an expander first...this makes the transients more obvious so the chopper don't get confused..
There are threads in the 606 section with some other tips to get the most out of the chopper.
I actually really like the chopper becuase it occasionally gives results that would never happen any other way - it has an element of randomness that helps when you are trying to get your own sound.
