I'm looking for a turntable to sample records to the 404.

What tables do any of you use?, or if you don't use a table what do you use?

What are your suggestions on a sampling source?

.Much Appreciated.

I dont really do much sampling of vinyl,

i like to record sounds with microphones and use them, or sample things from my synth/computer/etc.

I've got a Technics SP-1210, I use it sometimes to sample from vinyl. But I haven't figured out yet why the sound sucks so bad. That's why I sample from my iPod a little more :(
I also sample from my TV to record some intros and stuff. And from my Nintendo DS for sounds and shit.

I actually am using a mixer. A Denon Battle Mixer...
The problem is that it sounds way to quiet.
Maybe I just record my other samples at a really loud volume, lol.

Lol yea I sample from my PS3(Play Station) and television as well.

Technics should be producing quality sounds...must be the type of cartridge you have???(Most likely)

I have the tt1625's and they are awefull.....I got them real cheap tho....
they are made from plastic, poorly, dont sound veary good, it picks up the slightest vibration in the room because of the plastic.....Id stay away from the tt1650's as they may be simular...

200's are definitely OK. Just don't leave them on for too long or they'll overheat. They're even fine decks for scratching. Still, the Gemini TT04 is the best budget deck for scratching/mixing.
