Anyone got a Blofeld?

Post by cartesia »

Just ordered myself one 10 minutes ago off ebay... I can't believe how cheap these things are considering theyre basically a prettier, more powerful microQ. and the microQ was a steal at 1.5 times the price :)

Funny little story as to how I came to want such a thing:

Had a rather umm.. intense night last night.. there were hyper-fluorescent fractalline insectoids among other things  .. to give you an idea of how far out things were!

Anyway . . So..Some non-space/time men in their non-space/time ships visited me during a rather intense experience toward the end of last night ...and thats when I somehow learned to reverse my visualisations of sounds and use visualisation to create synthetic sounds

I dont know how this happened. . I've always kind of visualised music and thought of it as images, pictures, etc... But up until now its been very vague.. last night it was so intense that I could match every little alteration in pitch and effects, synthesis etc.. to an aspect of the picture. . - When a new sound came along, there was a new 'thing' that began materialising with very specific qualities - I guess giving enough detail now for it to actually be a useful way of thinking about musical ideas for me.. Maybe Ive just completely lost my mind finally :P

So now back to earth this morning. . and in the process of buying a synthesiser. . I was going to get an evolver, for some nice analogue sounds. . but after last night. . I really think I need the widest range of possibilities rather than a nice warm fuzzy sound. .

And so thats how I ended up ordering a blofeld instead of an evolver

So.. Is anyone else using one here? what do you think of it?

tripping hard can cause Synesthesia which is the mixing of senses like sight and sound. people who are born like that are ridiculously good at math and can give pi to 1000s of places

the most crazyass LSD!

And to Jmoki - yeah its just a synthesiser without a keyboard attached to it so you control it via midi either from a sequencer or a controller

paper. . .I've never seen seen dots or liquid!

craazzy stuff.. I had less than a half. . was expecting to just chill out, be a little off-base. . ended up having the most intense experience of my life

I dont know what it was. . the picture is one of those 'whole sheet' ones. . its very colorful though. lots of kinda oranges/greens.. It's been round for a while, I had some late last year that were the same.

Good luck this weekend. . hopefully the non-space/time men will stop by in an infinitely small gap between time and space and deliver you a blofeld :D

that's what's crazy about papes... the distribution isn't uniform... so if you have a square from the center of the sheet, chances are it'll have a much lower efficacy than one from the edge of the sheet, where the liquid tends to gather in the drying process. As long as you're up for the surprise, it can be a really good thing, as in your case... one of my friends and I took a couple squares one time and he had the same thing happen... but to terrible results. I think he's been a little different ever since that experience. Crazy stuff.
