my gf is annoying the sh*t out of me..
So, my girlfriend is reading those twilight books. She's 24. I didn't really have a problem with her spending all of her free time reading, I only see her 3 days out of the week because she lives an hour away from me, and I only see her Sat. through Tues.
So today, she's spent almost the entire day reading, fine. But when I go to call her she acts like she can't stay on the phone for more than a few minutes because she has to get back to her book. I make a comment something along the lines of "teenage romance novel" and she gets pissed off. What in the f*ck is the obsession over this stupid f*cking book series? Or anything for that matter. Why do people let themselves get wrapped up in such STUPID BULLSH*T? First it was crazy people collecting beanie babies and troll dolls. Now we have book obsessions over Oprah club bullsh*t, Harry Potter and now Twilight. Weak minded individuals.
So god damn annoying. People take sh*t so seriously it scares me.

you shouldn't let it bother you, yea romance novels are pretty bunk, and you should be glad she isn't reading harry potter. the people that read that shit form cults and incorperate the harry potter world into real life. haha . maybe she thinks you spend to much time on music? i dunno. I wouldnt stress man, its her thing . i typed some other shit but really im the last person you want advice from on relationships. hope it works out .. peace !

a girl came into my work with a shirt on that was kinda cool ( i cant remember what it looked like now) but i commented on it to her... i asked what it was all about and her face changed... it was like "you dont know what youre getting into omg your life is about to change" she then told me (in 10 minutes or so) about how amazing these books are and how hot the guy is in the book but wasnt as hot as she expected in the movie or tv show or whatever.. she went on and on and on about this book(s)... it was kinda wild.. the look on her face was crazy.. and she went to another place while she was telling me about the book too.. it was kinda weird..
the good news is its only a book and she will be done with it soon...

oh man... I feel your pain. Sounds like it would be really annoying, but i gotta reiterate what's been said about SP's and music being our own little addiction. Women don't really make much sense a lot of the time (and I'm sure they would say the same about dudes), but if you intend to keep one for any significant amount of time it's best to just roll with some of the weirdness. Maybe you could get her off those books by asking what it is she likes so much about em, and then offering up an alternative activity to hit that same spot... hopefully sex... maybe even some role play.
Best of luck with it homie!

At least she can read hahaha
"These compositions are designed to convey the message of hope and happiness and a living message from the better world of tomorrow. This is universal music....A free language of joy."

lol, i think i'd rather take her reading books rather than her being at the clubs, getting her drinks and freak on with some dude... having space between your significant other is good, respect it... haha, for all you know she can be up in a book forum saying the same thing about you... don't even sweat it... just imagine in your head, your lady in the clubs getting freak nasty or your lady innocently reading a book, which would you rather have? but we have a passion for making music that some people just don't understand just like we don't understand why people are into collecting some of the oddest things in the world... just like people who collect commemorative coins and pay a ridiculously amount for a coin... but it's all good...
