& my stylus broke i use to rock the 520sk cause they were durable & cheap, & that's all that i used ... they don't make em anymore, or maybe they still do or just under a different model number... any recommendations? shure? orthofon? i sample, do litle blends here & there & light scratching...

I don't know too much about styluses but, my friend in Seattle that's a DJ had some ortofons on his tables that he was teaching me on and they seemed to to work very well, but like it said I don't have experience with a lot of DJ equipment.

yeah, i saw those ortofons, a bit pricey... but looks real nice... damn, i can't sample records for a while...

Yeah, my friend had all the best shit, he had everything in his house to rock a full set even floor to ceiling speaks, mixing on his setup was bananas, but he is a professional DJ for a living so it figures he would make that investment, I hear stanton makes decent stylus if you just need it for sampling. I mean I sample with an old ass Realistic Lab-330 turntable, but I love it it has a pitch shift wheel instead of a slider and there's a little window below the platter that with dots like a technic and you have to tweak the wheel until all the dots are aligned and spinning together. It's funny though I read an article with PBW and Madlib and apparently Madlib's first pair of decks where Realistic brand. It's something about it saying lab on it that makes it feel official, like it belongs in the beat lab.
