Ok so bank A the drum samples (factory settings) and i was wondering what you guys did when you first played around with the 404 ? by this i mean did you delete them straight away ? use them ? sample your own kicks , snares etc and if reasampled what kind of drum sounds did you sample . Do you have a specific drum set that you use all the time ? :)

as I got/had my 404, i used the factory settings just for "try out"...after getting more knowledge on that "lil bugger" i deleted them cause the beats were´nt quite my style (just had to have tr-909 kickbass and snares and Hi.hats and so on)

I dumped that garbage and sampled some wax within 10 mins of opening the box.

I made a song out of the stock samples and the pattern with the horns in it. It came out pretty good. I usually do that with anything I get to see if I can connect with it. Not focusing on the crappiness of the stock sounds, just my creativity level. If I dont feel it, I dont keep the equipment.

i remember doing something creative with that piano chord and that god damn yeah sample. i couldn't find any cf cards in shops near me, so i had to sample drums with some of my vinyl and cassettes. but yeah, the samples are ok.

There you go, now stop fuckin' wit that huff.
On a side note I realized the 404 factory samples are better than the 303 factory samples.

i always found the 404's factory drums Bank A to overpower everything i used them with...
good stock sources for Resampling into new things though

the less said about the sampled patterns in Bank B, the better

The 303 doesn't come with one shot drum hits like the 404, just some pretty bad loops.
