It loads fine here, but I'll upload it to box.net as well. Seems most people seem to have no issue with box.net , right? Hold on. :)

Ah, and big thanks, I appreciate it. 8)

My vote goes to PHeMoX it's super chilled, I'm loving those warm synth sounds and bass. Man I love that riff you got going on.

Good work all round though guys.

I'm not sure if vivi, very much like mike acosta, even has time to join in these battles, she's usually a very busy lady.

Anyways, wow, thanks for the votes! I had to go with richiedinero, but I liked Twitch's beat too. Compared to those two I still feel I haven't really used enough of the sample. :P

Peace.

Question ? I thought with these beat battles it's about who flips the SAMPLE the best some of the beats submitted didnt use much or any of the sample it was like that with the last battle . Im down for beat battlin cause it helps us all perfect our craft but let's stick to what this is all really about flippin SAMPLES and not a he's my boy contest.

Yeah, you are right. It should be all about the beat. Having said that, I voted for yours thinking you did the most with the sample.

I hear what your saying richiedinero but if you twist the sample enough you'd never know if it was from the sample or not - thats certainly the case with some of the SP battles.

Maybe you guys should ban the use of the synth for these battles?

Hmmm, I'm a bit undecided on that. It does force one to use more of the sample, and while that's great .. having the synth in a battle shouldn't really turn out to be something that matters much if you're using it like everyone else here.

Still, it's very much like the discussions about battles when people voted for a non-hiphop style beat. Some didn't like that either.

I personally definitely like using the synth, even if overused. It's also what separates this battle from the SP ones, right? I don't know, I don't think it's cheating really.

Because even though it would take a tad more work, you could easily extract just one bass line note and use the 'make a keyboard' feature to get more or less the same kind of results. Add nice FX, resample the heck out it. Basically that just takes longer, but really it's the same thing.

I hear what your saying richiedinero but if you twist the sample enough you'd never know if it was from the sample or not - thats certainly the case with some of the SP battles.

Yeah, I don't think we could think of a rule to prevent this either. Not resampling would ruin 90% of the point of using a sampler.
