export pattern as wav?

Post by beatifictatter »

are patterns also stored as wavs on the memory card? as in a loop wav for each pattern? im guessing not......but would be nice to get everything for a song out of my 404 sometimes and chuck it in the pc to then add stuff, and it all be in perfect loops....if i have to record the patterns via audio out/in then there will probably be timing/synch issues and stress....

how's anyone else doing this? is there a solid workaround?

What you can do is midi sync your 404 to your computer, run the audio out cables to your line in or through your ins on your interface, have a 2 bar pattern with nothing on it. Then when you hit record on your program the sp with start with the pattern with nothing on it. as that is playing, select the pattern which you want to record, let that play and then hit the blank pattern again. You will have your perfect loop. Thats how I do it. Works every time.

Make sure you read the manual on how to midi sync your 404. There is also a sticky in here somehwere on how to do it. Good Luck.
