i use audacity to record my beat but when i record them theres mad static how do i get rid of it

Get a good soundcard. And don't record at high volume.

you do the best you can to avoid clipping, by not maxing out the volume on the sp and having the mic in volume not to high either, a nice happy medium, possibly some sort of free plugin to see how the frequencies are dancing, but really, you get an audio interface to record better quality, or a tape deck and cf card reader and export your beats to the card so you have a great quality wave file................always make sure you are consistent with levels and how loud you listen to the beats though, when ripping out and back into the sp, sometimes you get the beat on the comp and you realize the bass is clipping ever so slightly, always practice critical listening skills

hmmm when im recording the 555 into live 7 the 555 volume is completly turned up and the volume on the monitors is low and also the level in live are low...dunno but it seems to be working maybe im backwards or LOST 8)

try adjusting your line in recording bus.

if your using windows go to your defaault recording mixer, you can boost the gain to whatever. ive been recording real cool latley too.

this happened to someone i know. they were using windows vista. i went into sound properties and turned off something called 'sound enhancement' or something like that, and it completely fixed the problem. worth looking at if you using that os

oh and my sound cards monitoring is turned off sinse im using the 555 as a sound card or else there is mad and i mean mad fead back when recording into live......like painful scary mad feadback haha im serious :shock:
