does anyone feel like this sometimes ruins the sample? alot of times i feel like its cutting off some information even when set to 1.. do any of you use it?

i never have on the 404, though i use the same function on my zoom h2 and my sp-505. it gives less than perfect results. it's a novelty function that gives mediocre results, however it's nice when you are recording from vinyl and you are planning on chopping the sample anyway.

yeah i try it usually with any loop sample im recording, sometimes it works sometimes not.. just seeing if anyone has any tips if there could be any haha when it works good it makes things go real quick

one thing i do for that is put it in reverse and sometimes you can hear it has like a fraction of the first sound starting again and whats weird is sometimes you trim off like 3 points and the bpm doesnt change

i think the function works best say you have a drum machine and want to quickly clone a bank over to your sp. the amount of wave lost will not be noticible enough to matter. however when working with loops and samples where the timing can't be off by a hair i would recomend not using this.
can anyone think of a random scenario where you would need auto record on with the high setting. haha . riddle of the day
