went to the dollar store and bought a gluestick and a shiny b-day gift-bag type bag. used a needle to poke holes around where the buttons go and filed it down smooth with a nail file. looks pretty good i think and it's tight like a drum... here's a picture. in a perfect world i'd like to have a faceplate made with the same gold plastic they used for those old school zelda cartridges, but this will do for now

i just tested some beige paint on the underside of my 404. looks good. im afraid to paint the top. but i might as well. right now im looking around the house for something shiny

man i thought that picture was actually gluebag haha then i did a search for
"gold paint huffer" and it was the first picture. guess im an idiot but with the interweb you never know...

haha, i used to work with this kid in high school who said out of all the crazy drugs he'd done, huffing spray paint was by far the craziest most effed up high, i think the story ended up with him hiding in the closet.
