FL Studio is and amazing program, but the preset sounds are garbage. When I only used FL Studio I painstakingly tracked down hundreds of new .wav sounds and made my own packs. Now if I use FL I'll just through on some vinyl and capture it with edison and chop out drums from a break and some other samples to go with. I'll post a new song I made in FL Studio so you guys can hear the difference from the other one I just posted with my friend freestyling on it.

yeah man, i remember this tape. big inspiration. Was I'm not even sure what crow was trying to criticize. Was he saying that he used other peoples hip hop beats for his own or that he used unchopped loops from original records?

he was sayin he used un chopped loops. but the zu said he chopped them and arranged them different and the other played live bass. which i do lots. i always fuck with breaks like that play a live bass over it then chop the drum sometimes and relay it. thats what we do we engineer old music into a new sound. we are engineers.

damn thats what crow was making a big deal out of. Part of beatmaking is knowing when to chop and rearrange and when not to.
