Been sitting on this unfinished for a minute. It's unfinished in that I dunno if it's really a keeper, but whatever. Opinions/criticism always welcome. The mix is pretty crunchy. :)

revised mix (last one was way over compressed)

hey great tracks!
it reminds me something of Pedestrian and also Passage (from anticon records) mix to aphextwinish something...
the people talking in the background...how do you recorded them (if ever you recorded them)?
what was/is your equipement for that track? i like the irregularity and the sound of the drums. also the melody of the piano (rodhes? vsti?) is good.

Thanks for the comments. I keep a little tascam recorder on me, so that's how I snagged the field recording. As far as equipment, it's pretty basic. I run everything thru the 303 at some point, but I've also got two little compressors (FMR's RNC & RNLA), a cassette 4 track, and a mixer with a crappy lofi reverb that I think sounds nice. Then I bounce stuff between all that and ableton. The keys are from ableton's electric, but run thru the 303's vinyl sim (thus the wobble), then dumped to tape and pitched down.

I think I was in a weird mood, and ended up going overboard with the compressors. Bass kinda blows out too when it could be tighter. Def going to take another stab at mixing it all together. This one is super loose.. lol. Again, thanks for the words.

yeah, I really like incorporating any kinda natural sounds. Something about it being random in some aspect makes everything feel kinda organic.

Anywho, here's a new mix. That last mix was garbage (dunno what I was thinking). I think this one is a bit better, cleaner. Tho, I might have to do something to punch it up some more. Still lofi tho.. <3
