i duno guys, i can't stand using pc programs to make music. usually just for recording, and i dont even use that anymore since ive gotten recording hardware

^ depends on my mood. i didn't use computers for music for about 2 years, but slowly i'm integrating it with my hardware again.

I very much agree. There's literally no program I really feel comfortable with scrolling to a million menus before I can do what I want.

The MV and it's DAW style environment is way more streamlined than most software DAWs can ever be.

Less features or not... the work flow is what counts the most, because like many argued here as well it's not the tools that make the beats.

first time my beats hit the laptop is when im buring a cd, use cubase for vocals and that's it. i find it really hard to get inspired by software, and the screen kills me when it comes to the late night sessions.

but, i do think it depends on what type of music you make. variety is the spice of life and all that

I use all hardware currently, but I started out on Reason and then incorporated Live with it. Even though I haven't opened it in a year and a half, I still think it's a dope app and figure I'll probably get back on it sometime in the future.
